Funding Options
At Milestones Allied Health, we understand that navigating funding options can sometimes feel overwhelming. We aim to make the process as simple as possible and are happy to help families understand the different ways they may be able to access Occupational Therapy services.
NDIS
We welcome self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.
Occupational Therapy may be funded through an NDIS plan where it relates to a participant's individual goals and support needs.
Medicare
Some children may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate for Occupational Therapy when referred under an eligible Medicare pathway by their GP or other medical practitioner.
A referral is generally required to access a Medicare rebate, and Medicare rebates may not cover the full cost of an appointment. We recommend speaking with your GP about whether your child may be eligible.
Private Health Insurance
Depending on your provider and level of cover, you may be able to claim a rebate for Occupational Therapy through your private health insurance.
As rebates vary between providers and policies, we recommend contacting your health fund directly to confirm your eligibility and level of cover.
Private Paying
Families are also welcome to access our services privately without a referral or funding plan.
You can contact our team directly to discuss your child's needs and arrange an appointment.
